A leading company within the local Maritime Industry, is currently looking to recruit a receptionist. Apart from some basic clerical and administrative tasks, the chosen applicant will mainly be responsible of managing the front desk.




  • Greeting and welcoming guests, clients or visitors and directing them to the appropriate person or office;
  • Answering all calls received by the company in a polite and friendly manner and forwarding calls as necessary;
  • Observing visitors as to ensure office security;
  • Up keeping front office presentation in a neat and organized manner;
  • Making orders for office and administrative supplies as necessary;
  • Keeping records of all expenses made by the front office;
  • Handling all queries and correspondence made by clients or prospective clients in an efficient and polite manner. Where appropriate, correspondence is to be directed to colleagues;
  • Managing mail systems by sorting and distributing mail;
  • Carrying out basic clerical duties such as management of the filing system as well as copying, scanning and transcribing documents;
  • Handling any other related duties which may emanate from the role.


  • Applicants must be proficient users of MS Office programs;
  • Applicants must also have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Italian and English;
  • Although not necessary, previous experience in a similar role will be regarded an asset.
