A new role has arisen for an experienced individual to join our client’s company under the title of Purchasing Officer. The successful applicant will be tasked with all day-to-day purchasing operations.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Researching and approaching different vendors;
  • Compiling and comparing a variety of quotes and offers from different merchants;
  • Actively negotiating the best terms of contracts with regards to pricing and supply;
  • Preparing and submitting purchase orders;
  • Closely working with colleagues from the Finance Department in case for the drafting of appropriate contracts and invoices;
  • Maintaining of internal databases, including databases on goods, delivery and purchases;
  • Drafting of numerous reports, including Market Analysis and budget reports;
  • Ensuring that supplies are made in a timely manner and that received stock is of appropriate quality;
  • Other duties emanating from the role.

 

Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a similar role;
  • Candidates should at least possess an A’Level standard of education;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are expected.
