One of our esteemed clients, a local Human Resources company, is currently seeking to recruit an experienced Payroll Officer.  The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects related to the company’s payroll operations.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Using the company’s software of choice to make payroll computations within the established regular deadlines;
  • Collecting records and reports necessary to the payroll procedure;
  • Maintaining and updating databases with employee records;
  • Inputting of data in a time efficient and accurate manner;
  • Modifying existing calculations in accordance with changes in salary rates and other relevant factors;
  • Monitoring and calculating vacation and sick leave entitlement according to legislation and company procedures;
  • Drafting contracts for incoming employees upon the request of upper management;
  • Acting as a first point of contact for all payroll-related queries;
  • Any other administrative duties emanating from the role.

 

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 1 year’s experience working in a similar role;
  • Applicants should be proficient users of payroll software;
  • Candidates must also have excellent computer literacy skills, with excellent knowledge of MS Office programs.
