Our client is on the lookout for an individual to join their company under the role of Payroll Clerk to assist the payroll department in its day-to-day running.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Estimating wages carefully using the company’s adopted systems, especially where role-specific allowances are in place and where N.I contributions and tax refunds are involved;
  • Collecting all documents which regard salaries and wages, including timesheets;
  • Inputting data into the payroll system accurately;
  • Updating the system according to sick leave and vacation leave records;
  • Drafting and analyzing reports, such as extras reports, where necessary;
  • Processing and handling termination and engagement documentation and system updates;
  • Maintaining all employee records up to date;
  • Supporting colleagues in the processing of auditing by collaborating in the collection of documents phase;
  • Any other duties emanating from the role.

 

Requirements:

  • Candidates must either have an A level standard of education or at least one years’ experience in a similar role;
  • Applicants must be proficient users of MS Office programs. Knowledge of programs used for payroll calculation, such as Shireburn, will be deemed an asset;
  • Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
