Our client, a leading company in the local insurance sphere, is currently looking for the ideal candidate to fill the role of General Business Claims Handler, within their Claims Department.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Providing clients with excellent customer care service;
  • Acting as the first line support for clients;
  • Assessing claims on behalf of the company;
  • Settling of claims according to circumstance and company procedures;
  • Management of a portfolio of claims under minimal supervision, including notification, investigation, fulfillment and negotiation;
  • Upholding of positive company-client relations;
  • Handling of any administrative duties ancillary to claims operations;
  • Liaising with colleagues and other departments whenever necessary;
  • Meet the company’s procedures and standards, especially with regards to fraud prevention;
  • Any other duties emanating from the role.

 

 

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be fluent in both written and spoken English and Maltese;
  • Candidates must have a minimum of an A level standard of education;
  • Additionally, applicants must either have a minimum of two years experience in the field, or else must be in possession of a diploma qualification in insurance or equivalent;
