A respected company within the Financial Services industry is currently on the lookout for the ideal candidate to join the team as Fund Accountant. The individual will be responsible for all accounting activities related to the assigned fund profiles.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performing all day-to-day accounting and compliance tasks;
  •  Taking responsibility for assigned client portfolios;
  • Handling all correspondence with clients and assisting them with any requests and queries they might have;
  • Liaising with bankers, brokers, investors, auditors and any other third parties one needs to cooperate with;
  • Compiling records and drafting reports regarding Fund activities and other regular reports, such as year-end reports;
  • Assisting colleagues with recording requirements, namely accounts records, compliance records, audit schedules, tax returns and financial statements;
  • Reconciling accounts and reviewing reconciliations made by others as to correct any inaccuracies accordingly;
  • Research fund portfolios as to inquire into legal and fiscal compliance, restrictions or limitations and securities;
  • Any other duties which may emanate from the role.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must currently be in the final stages of their ACCA or university studies in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or any equivalent discipline within the field.
  • Previous experience is not necessary but will be considered an asset.
  • Applicants must be proficient users of MS Office programs, as well as other commonly used accounts programs.
