Our client is looking for a for Automobile Mechanics to join their team.

Responsibilities

  1. Thoroughly examine the vehicles for service and repair, identify any faults, and determine the cause and the type of repair and parts required for the vehicle;
  2. Manually dismantle, reassemble, and replace parts under supervision;
  3. Perform mechanical and technical works;
  4. Carry out any duties in a cautious manner to avoid causing any accidental damage to vehicles and other equipment;
  5. Ensure that all repairs and services are done within the stipulated time schedule and in accordance with the job card specifications;
  6. Ensure that faults have been reported on the job given especially if any new faults have been recognized or whether any follow-up actions are needed;
  7. Report to the supervisor on the general condition of vehicles with an emphasis on customer safety and any current or possible future vehicle faults and servicing requirements noticed;
  8. Make proper use of the tools and equipment provided;
  9. Adheres strictly to health and safety regulations and also to company standards;
  10. Ensure the service and repair of motor vehicles and GSEs of all types;
  11. Keep the work area clean and tidy, ensure that the overall cleanliness of the workshop to promote and maintain a safe working environment;
  12. Attends training organised by the company when and as required;
  13. Perform any other duties assigned by his direct superior when and as required, including carrying out similar jobs on motor vehicles and GSEs when required;

Requirements and skills:

  1. Qualification as a Motor Vehicle Mechanic / Technician.
  2. Good verbal and written communication both in Maltese and English, Italian is also an asset.
  3. Computer literacy.
  4. All applicants must possess a valid Maltese residence permit.
