A new opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join one of the leading insurance companies in Malta.  Reporting to the Finance Manager, the chosen applicant will be perform  general clerical, and accounting functions.




  • Compiling and sorting of documents according to company procedures;
  • Calculating, reconciling and verifying statements;
  • Performing insurers’ reconciliations on a monthly basis and drafting relevant reports;
  • Compiling of Comparative Reports on a monthly basis as part of the monthly Management Accounts;
  • Extracting of debtors’ and creditors’ balances at month end and reconciling balances with the accounting software;
  • Posting of transactions to accounts;
  • Preparing of payments due to suppliers upon necessity;
  • Depositing of the allocation schedule on a monthly basis;
  • Managing and updating of accounts, with focus on monthly accruals;
  • Liaising with directors as to keep them informed, depending on necessity;
  • Supervising the work performed by the personnel of the Finance & Administration department whilst providing support if the need arises;
  • Any other duties emanating from the role.




  • Applicants should be in the final stages of attaining recognized accountancy qualifications;
  • Candidates must have a minimum of a year’s experience working in a similar role;
  • Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
