A new opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join one of the leading insurance companies in Malta. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the chosen applicant will be perform general clerical, and accounting functions.
Responsibilities:
- Compiling and sorting of documents according to company procedures;
- Calculating, reconciling and verifying statements;
- Performing insurers’ reconciliations on a monthly basis and drafting relevant reports;
- Compiling of Comparative Reports on a monthly basis as part of the monthly Management Accounts;
- Extracting of debtors’ and creditors’ balances at month end and reconciling balances with the accounting software;
- Posting of transactions to accounts;
- Preparing of payments due to suppliers upon necessity;
- Depositing of the allocation schedule on a monthly basis;
- Managing and updating of accounts, with focus on monthly accruals;
- Liaising with directors as to keep them informed, depending on necessity;
- Supervising the work performed by the personnel of the Finance & Administration department whilst providing support if the need arises;
- Any other duties emanating from the role.
Requirements:
- Applicants should be in the final stages of attaining recognized accountancy qualifications;
- Candidates must have a minimum of a year’s experience working in a similar role;
- Applicants must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
