Our client, a locally, well established company, is looking to recruit an Accounts Clerk.  Joining their growing accounts department, the ideal candidate will be working closely with a Junior and Senior Accountant and will be responsible for:

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performing a variety of clerical accounting functions such as compiling and sorting documents, reconciling and verifying statements;
  • Recording and posting invoices into the Company’s accounting software;
  • Issuing and processing of payments;
  • Preparing of deposits and keeping accurate records relating to accounts receivable;
  • Chasing debtors;
  • Assisting in preparation of financial reports;
  • Liaising with auditors and other colleagues for the preparation of company audits;
  • Any other duties ancillary to the role of Accounts Clerk.

 

 

Requirements:

  • The chosen applicant must have an ‘A’ Level in Accounts or AAT Diploma;
  • Candidates must at least have a year’s worth of experience working in a similar role;
  • Working knowledge of MS Office programs, as well as experience using accounting programs would be considered an asset;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Maltese and English are expected.
