One of our esteemed clients is currently looking to recruit an Accounts Clerk to join their dynamic team. The successful applicant will be tasked to ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participating in the company’s general book-keeping activities, namely by maintaining the general ledger and any other statutory records assigned;
  • Preparing a variety of reconciliations regularly, including petty cash, inter company reconciliations and bank reconciliations;
  • Issuing invoices to clients, chasing debtors and recording receipts;
  • Filing of documentation and invoices according to the company’s procedures and policies;
  • Recording incoming supplier invoices and ensuring suppliers are paid in a timely manner;
  • Maintaining of databases and inputting of new data according to necessity;
  • Assisting the finance team in the drafting of financial reports;
  • Any other duties emanating from the role.

 

 

 

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate must have an A’ Level standard of education in Accounts with a solid understanding of accounting terminology;
  • Prior work experience in a similar role of at least one year will be deemed an asset;
  • Applicants must be proficient users of MS Office Programs, namely of Excel, Word and Power Point;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Maltese are expected.
