Our client is seeking an Accounts Clerk to join their dynamic team within their Accounts Department.   The chosen applicant will be tasked with several general accounting responsibilities.

 

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Actively participating in the company’s general book-keeping activities, namely by maintaining the general ledger and any other statutory records assigned;
  • Performing various reconciliations, including bank and petty cash reconciliations;
  • Issuing invoices to clients, chasing debtors and recording receipts;
  • Updating of databases;
  • Forwarding and filing documents according to company procedures;
  • Assisting the finance team in the drafting of financial reports;
  • Any other duties emanating from the role.

 

 

 

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate must have an A’ Level education in Accounts with a solid understanding of accounting terminology;
  • Applicants must be proficient users of MS Office Programs, namely of Excel, Word and Power Point;
  • Prior work experience in a similar role is not necessary, but will be deemed an asset;
  • Candidates must possess good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Maltese.
