A leading ship repair company is currently looking to recruit an Accounts Clerk to join their dynamic team. The successful applicant will be tasked with general day-to-day accounting duties.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Recording incoming supplier invoices and ensuring suppliers are paid in a timely manner;
  • Issuing and posting of invoices as necessary;
  • Filing of documentation and invoices according to the company’s procedures and policies;
  • Maintaining of databases and inputting of new data according to necessity;
  • Preparing a variety of reconciliations regularly, including petty cash, inter company reconciliations and bank reconciliations;
  • Supports the Accountant were necessary;
  • Any other duties emanating from the role.

 

Requirements:

  • Applicants must be in possession of Accounts A level standard qualifications or equivalent;
  • The ideal applicant must be a proficient user of MS Office programs, with particular knowledge of Excel;
  • The chosen applicant must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Italian;
  • Fluency in Maltese is considered an asset;
  • Whilst this is not mandatory, preference will be given to applicants with similar prior experience.
