A leading ship repair company is currently looking to recruit an Accounts Clerk to join their dynamic team. The successful applicant will be tasked with general day-to-day accounting duties.
Responsibilities:
- Recording incoming supplier invoices and ensuring suppliers are paid in a timely manner;
- Issuing and posting of invoices as necessary;
- Filing of documentation and invoices according to the company’s procedures and policies;
- Maintaining of databases and inputting of new data according to necessity;
- Preparing a variety of reconciliations regularly, including petty cash, inter company reconciliations and bank reconciliations;
- Supports the Accountant were necessary;
- Any other duties emanating from the role.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be in possession of Accounts A level standard qualifications or equivalent;
- The ideal applicant must be a proficient user of MS Office programs, with particular knowledge of Excel;
- The chosen applicant must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Italian;
- Fluency in Maltese is considered an asset;
- Whilst this is not mandatory, preference will be given to applicants with similar prior experience.
